At the heart of all activities at The Old Tavern is our gem, Grafton Ponds Outdoor Center. This year-round recreation center offers our guests 2,000 acres of amazing scenery, trails and grounds. As a guest of the inn, you enjoy complimentary* use of the Grafton Ponds.
In the summer, enjoy mountain biking, running, our new bike terrain
park, hiking, canoeing, fly fishing and summer kids camps for ages 5
through 16 years. Grafton Ponds is a perfect setting to the annual Vermont Symphony Orchestra concert every July 3.

In the winter, enjoy 30k of tiller-groomed Nordic skiing (with 5k of snowmaking), 15k of snowshoeing and a 600-foot snow tubing hill, along with a myriad of special tours and programs, including the popular Wine & Cheese snowshoe tour.
